Cant connect to Internet and Network to Activate

I am operating the latest build of Vista and I also have XP installed on the same computer. In XP I can connect to my home network and internet but in Vista, it is not detected. I have 6 days left to activate my Vista so what should i do?

If you can not connect to the internet with Vista I am guessing this means not network connectivity of some form.
That is likely drivers if your system can connect in XP.
What are you using for connectivity? Have you tried to use XP drivers for those items?

Please provide details about your computer, especially how you connect to the internet.

How would I use my XP drivers in Vista?? I have a DSL connection with a network and a DI-524 router. My computer is a Dell Dimension 8250 with RAM upgraded to 512mb and new hard drives and a new 128mb ATI graphics card. Thanks in advance for your help

If you can connect through XP then Vista probably doesn't have drivers for

your network card (or it could be integrated on the motherboard). In your post regarding your computer specs you neglected to mention the make model of your NIC. You may or may not be able to find a driver that works with Vista. The XP drivers might be worth a try.

Thanks but does anyone know how to get a drive from XP and put it in Vista?

If you don't have a Dell CD with the drivers, then go to the Dell web site and download the drivers!
